Happy Halloween!!!

This is the baby with his cousins, Thomas and Tyler. I LOVE the little pumpkin costume that Tyler is wearing. So, so cute!

Six Months Old Today

Today is the day that my baby turns six months old. I can't believe it! Sometimes, when I think about it, it seems like I'm saying goodbye to him really slowly as he gets older. Watcha gonna do though? They never stop getting bigger.

Jumpity

Whenever I said "jumpity" to the baby, he burst into a fit of giggles! It was the cutest thing I've seen and I was giggling right along with him.

Binky Again

Guess who likes his binky again? He hasn't taken one since the last picture I posted with him sucking one. I offered it to him yesterday and he used it all day!

Eating Num Nums

Baby Duane, whenever he sees his bottle, gets really excited and his little legs kick wildly.

Doesn't he remind you of an adorable chipmunk? He needs to be kept all snugly warm to fight the cold.

If You Live In Utah

My sister sent this via email and I thought it was humorous only because I can relate to a few of them, especially number 8!

FORGET REDNECKS; THIS IS WHAT JEFF FOXWORTHY HAD TO SAY ABOUT UTAHANS!

1. If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September to May, you live in Utah.

2. If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in Utah.

3. If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in Utah.

4. If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed the wrong number, you live in Utah.

5. If 'vacation' means going anywhere south of Salt Lake City for the weekend, you live in Utah.

6. If you measure distance in hours, you live in Utah.

7. If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you live in Utah.

8. If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' and back again in the same day, you live in Utah.

9. If you install security lights on your house and garage but leave both doors unlocked, you live in Utah.

10. If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you live in Utah.

11. If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you live in Utah.

12. If the speed limit on the highway is 75 mph -- you're going 80, and everyone is still passing you, you live in Utah.

13. If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you live in Utah.

14. If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction, you live in Utah.

15. If you find 10 degrees 'a little chilly' you live in Utah.

Bath Time Dilemma

Ever since we've had Duane, there hasn't been a bathtub in our home. Usually, he takes showers with daddy. I decided to give him a bath in the sink so I scrubbed the area clean and filled the sink with warm, soapy water. The baby SCREAMED for a few minutes, then settled down, then LOVED the water. I love the picture with bubbles on his head. He was splashing with his rubber duckies and picking them up and dropping them into the other sink. He was such a cute bath boy.

More Walks

This is baby Duane wondering where the hey we're going.

I love it here in North Salt Lake, the jogging path is perfect to take long walks on.

And the view is spetacular.

Baby Update

Baby Duane is getting so big! He's very alert and talkative. Even if he can't exactly say words yet, he's very vocal. He's also learning to crawl. He hasn't achieved an actual crawl yet, but he does get on all fours and rock a little. He prefers standing and is getting to the point where he'll pull himself up on my arm or leg or whatever is closest. The computer is never safe around him either, he loves to give the key board a good hammering. We have to unplug to let him play around he's so insistent. I'm proud of my big boy and feel really blessed that he's growing so healthy and strong.

This is his grumpy effect. His lips disappear when he gets too distressed.

Gary's B-day

My mom planned a super b-day party for Gary at Buca di Beppo's. She told him that he had to go with her to a dinner party for her work, so he was a little shocked when he showed up and the family was there.

I loved this picture so I took a pic of it. LoL

On My Walk

These are pics of the sunset that I took on my way home from our walk. I really love the mountains, I don't think I could get used to any other skyline.

A Thinker

I listen to Dr. Laura every so often and I read her blog on women and style. It was thinker so I thought I'd share.

Sunday Dinner at my Mom's

There was a small group this Sunday because of the storm and people being out of town and such. But it was still tons of fun.

Baby's First Coat

I thought my little boy was so cute in this that I had to take the pictures. Thanks to my daddy and mama, we now have an abundance of warm jackets and coats.

Isn't my little man getting so good at sitting up? He loves to sit in the cart to watch others but can't for very long because he still gets tired.

Walking With Grandpa N

G-pa N is teaching the baby to walk! How cute . . .

Sitting in a High Chair

My dad came and took us to the Asian Buffet for lunch. The baby sat in the high chair the entire time! He was such a good boy.

We found a new apartment! It's in Bountiful. We'll be packing and moving this week, I'll update when we get everything settled in.

Grandma and Great Uncle on a Teeter-Totter

Memphis and Elvis

My mom and Gary went to Tennessee. Gary had a business trip and my mom went along. They brought Pastor and me back this bobble head doll. I think it's the most definite best present they've ever brought back from a trip, and they go on quite a few. I know that you really think it's awesome, but please refrain from breaking into my house to have it as your own. ;o)

Family Visits

My great Uncle John came to see everyone today with Uncle David and Aunt Joann with their daughter Kim. We had a lot of fun visiting around the fire pit (after conference of course) and roasting hot dogs. Pastor came late because he had to work. The reason he had to work on Sunday was because it was General Conference.
This is Zachary with Pastor and the baby. He is my Uncle Don's boy. Those little things on his shirt are dinosaurs. He's a smart little guy and knew all the names of them, even the big long science names. LoL
Chelsea, who was our flower girl. She's still so pretty! She is my Uncle Don's girl.
Caitlin, also my Uncle Don's little girl.
Playing totem pole! The baby let out a big squeak when he saw them doing this. He kept looking at us and looking at them like he wanted to join.

Paulie-wog eating g-ma Nerdin's world famous brownies. Mmm . . .
Evidence of what he ate. *Eww!*
The fire pit itself. Pastor melted one of the soles on his shoes by resting it on the stones, although these aren't his feet.
We didn't have a coat for the baby, so we had to keep him bundled really tight in the blanky. He didn't like being so constrained all the time, but I don't want him to get sick. I used to get terrible ear aches when I was little and hope to avoid that with him.

Aren't these two good lookin'?

Uncle John on the teeter-totter.
G-ma Nerdin on the other end.
Aunt Norma with her two boys, Peter and Micheal.
Uncle Pete on the other end. Is that a chair in the tree in the background? How funny! I just noticed.

It was a great family event and one that sort of sprang up. My absolute favorite thing to do is visit family and there are some that we don't get to see a whole lot. I'm happy that we were able to get together.

General Conference

Today in a talk given by Jeffery R. Holland, he said this: "The latter days are not a time to fear and tremble." How true this is. Fear and faith cannot exist in the same heart. Too often, I think, there is fear above all. We must remember who we are and rise to the occasion.

Hanging Out at My Mom's House

My mom and Gary went to Tennessee on a business trip for Gary. They asked me to watch the house and Duane and I have been having a blast! The first night he stayed up until five in the morning, but then made up for it the next night. Yay, peace and quiet for me.
